K130 Flybarless Controller Piro Optimization Sucks

Check out this video and tell me am I crazy? My K130 (with reflective tape, looks like Liberace designed the canopy and tail) never stays put when I start any kind of piro maneuver. It falls back and to the right and I have to keep a real quick eye on it to keep it from flying into the ground.

The weird thing is, when it's inverted, I can piro all day long and it won't fall over. What's going on?

I verified the gyro chip is connected to the FBL correctly with double stick tape under the red plastic cover.

You are clearly not a beginner, however, I would have liked to see you try to piro in one position, maintaining roughly the same altitude. Practice trying that for a while and see if control improves.

Hi all,

I have just got one of these mini-beasts. When it pirouettes it drifts a significant amount and definitely does not stay flat. Hover is stable. I am not sure if I should calibrate the gyro or not. I haven't checked under the red thingy on the controller yet...It seems to have HUGE amount of pitch and I don't have a pitch gauge small enough to measure it.

Any help appreciated.

So checked the gyro chip under the red cover and it is nicely mounted on double-sided foam tape - so not that. The swash is 100% level - elevator side is low, so adjusted that.

Will have to wait until it is less windy before I retry but not liking the XK K130 as much as the 110.
