Thinking about picking up a logo 700
I currently fly a trex 700l as my 700 size. I own 2 logo 600 and I love the way they fly which is why I am very interested in this one. When the 700 first came out I was all on board but then heard some reviews of it crashing terrible and that pretty much any crash is a rekit. However I have spoke to other that say usually only the bottom frame breaks which is an easy fix. I am also kind of not crazy about the fact they didn't go full belt on the tail. Does the 700 fly similar to the logo 600? for those that own them, are crashes that bad? also how are the crash costs in comparison to something like a trex?

The problem with comparing crash costs is that there are simply too many variables that can affect how much a single crash costs. I've had crashes that should have been a rekit based on how hard they hit but ended up only being a few parts. I've also had crashes that didn't look bad at all but ended up being one of those times where I fixed it with parts but really should have rekitted it.
It's too easy to look at two helicopters and want to know how much one costs to crash vs the other. But it's really not a useful comparison because of the variation in crashes.
In the end, in my opinion, if you have to ask how much a 700 costs to crash, you probably shouldn't be looking at 700s. Not talking about you here - just in general, mainly for those who are looking at their first 700. Any 700 will be expensive to crash... it's the nature of the beast. Is an extra $50 on a $300+ crash going to make a difference?
In my experience, LOGOs tend to be fairly expensive to crash. Not because you break a lot, but because the parts are expensive. You won't break much most of the time, but what you do break will probably be pretty expensive. Crashing a Synergy is the same way. They're robust helis, but parts are expensive.
Some people will say "well to compare crash costs, just take the typical parts that break in a crash and add up the cost for brand A and brand B." That's a nice idea in practice, but aside from the regular variation and unpredictability from crash to crash, some helicopters will have parts that break or bend that don't on other helicopters. This is especially noticeable on helicopters with very low parts count, like many of the Mikados. I never crashed my LOGO 480 before I sold it, but I did look into how much I might spend if I were to crash it. The parts are expensive, but the entire helicopter has an extremely low parts count... there's not much to break.

Yeah, it flys like a larger logo 600. Great heli.
I've never crashed it so can't tell ya.
I'm not sure where expensive parts comes from. They aren't at all.
Look at an entire main frame, main gears, one way, grips, head. Not expensive at all.
My logo 600s (3 of them) crash damn well.
The whole exploding logo thing is true, but yes it's a plastic frame. (I've not yet killed one myself). Break it and you buy all new for 38 per side. However, no bearing blocks to bend, break, etc. Like number said it's way to hard tell what eill break or not.
The tail on the Logo 700 is amazing.
The torque tube works well and makes pulling the tail a snap compared to full belt.

Here is a quick breakdown of parts cost. The Logo 700 over in some thigns, but under in others.
Align can be a pain. Bend a tail box plate, etc and they only sell the whole unti for a whopping 72 bucks. They do that on a few parts.
Conisder flying style. All align have a very low tail ratio and are poor for low headpseeds. Logos shine here.
If you want really cheap parts, Look at an XL Power 700.
