Just got my first 3D printer, wondering if anyone has any good Heli files I can print? Or any sort of pointers!

No good one stop shop for RC helicopters objects for 3D printing that I have found. As far as filament, PETG is becoming very popular, as it is almost as easy to print as PLA (assuming you have a heated bed), and is as durable as ABS. PETG does not release fumes while printing (unlike ABS), and does not warp when left inside a hot car (unlike PLA).

Me too!!! well not completely....

Just got a Prusa Mk3S+ and after a week killed it due to tightening some bearings too much. I got that fixed up and working with new parts coming for a rebuild soon...

Ordered a Creality CR10S Pro V2 for the larger bed for printing Mandalorian outfits for my daughter and I for Halloween.... I need to update my Boba Fett costume with a better helmet, Jet Pack, and new flight suit as there was terrible shrinkage while in storage and I'm more like the new fat Boba....

Airbrush is on the list as well....

I have though about a skeletonized canopy like the Goblin Raw look but have to learn Fusion 360....

Big learning curve on the horizon.

I have two prusa’s. I usually CAD out what I need.
Parts I have made Include antenna mounts of various shapes and sizes.
Tail pushrod guides for Synergy, Diabolo and Tron.
Canopy mounts for Synergy.
Various esc mounts and receiver trays.
UAT mount for my turbines.
Turnbuckle wrenches.

Designing is at least half the fun.

On filament I have printed PLA, PETG, Nylon, ABS, TPU , Nylon-G and carbon impregnated PLA.

I suggest trying a product called PLA plus to start with. Prints like PLA but is a bit stronger. I am using it currently to do antenna mounts and pushrod guides for the Tron 5.5.

Cheers
Alan
