Default Tail shift while elevator tictocs

Hi there,

I have an issue about vbar tail, I try not to mind it but it disturbs anyway,

The problem is; the tail shifts left ( nose goes right ) while doing elevator tictocs disc facing to me,
It's like tail overshoots while this manouver,

aileron tictocs are OK, there is no shift,

Helis 700x and 550L, transmitter is Vcontrol.

The strangest part of this problem, I have this issue on my both helis, different size, different electronic.

I'm checking the transmitter for unwanted rudder commands while playing with collective, but it seems nothing wrong with the transmitter.

What I've tried about this;
- Checked mechanical correctance,
- turned off pre-comps,
- lowered P gain of tail,
- tuned tail gain,
these did not help,

Is there anyone who had this and figured it out ?

Pincher -

I did not give attention to this, I'm gonna take a closer look for this,

I can not get sure whether it's transmitter spesific or fbl unit spesific, because I was using DX9 & Spirit before I switched to the VControl & Neo and I did not have this kind of tail behavior.
I tried to increase tail expo up to 50%-60% but it still same, btw.

First thing to consider is the spring tension too loose for you? Seen guys that lean on the stick just a little creating drift.

Otherwise its setup/tuning.

If you try that, do one at a time.

Have you adjusted your basic throttle for each headspeed as well? If you haven't, I would highly suggest you go through these steps:

https://www.vstabi.info/en/node/2043

At least do the first 4 steps.

I run lower headspeeds, and I have the exact some symptoms, and I was told to reduce my collective add....pretty much to zero. I haven't tried it yet, as it was late in the season when I asked for help with it. It flies good....just I notice that, and for me, I think I get some weird axis rolls from it. I have one model that the headspeed is really low, and when I flip, it's like I give some rudder as well, but I'm pretty sure it's do to my low head speed and when I change from positive to negative pitch, going through the V curve, that's why I get the tail kick or twitch rather.

Headspeed is 2100 and basic throttle doesn't help,
I'm going to follow the procedure you posted,
I'll update,

Thanks

So adding basic throttle will not get rid of your issue....but will ensure you have a better v curve and that the gov does a way better job. Going through those steps, I have found makes a huge difference.

After you go through those steps and if you still have it, i would try reducing your collective add and see how that works.

Make sure vbar knows we’re zero pitch is . That can throw your pre-comp off. In the trim setup menu get it to zero pitch then flip to the tail rotor set up menu and click on the set button you will see a number a pair in the zero col. box. Now vbar knows we’re zero pitch is. Hope this helps.
