Default Fireball with DJI's digital FPV system.

i installed DJI's digital FPV system on my Goblin Fireball. Here is the maiden flight. Sorry about shaking video! Wind was blowing seriously hard and it seems that I have to tone down my elevator & aileron gains.

This is AWESOME!!!

I saw in the vid description that you tried (unsuccessfully) to mount the FPV gear to the OMP M2. Simply no way to make that work since the digital DJI stuff is too heavy? I have done some drone stuff in the past and this kind of seals the deal for me to get the Fireball.

How tough was it to balance the FPV gear with the Fireball. Runtimes? Is there a possibility that the canopy can be cut and made to fit?

Great job!!!

Great flying. I tried flying upside down with FPV. Too nerve racking but you got it down really well. Might try again with this combo as the Fireball's chassis is well suited for the DJI equipment

Post more videos!

Sorry, I haven’t visited Helifreak for a while and didn’t notice your reply until now!

My Fireball Competition Edition is a little bit tail heavy so balance is actually better now with the camera & air unit on. The harder part was to find place for two Spektrum satellite receivers inside the canopy. I am using relatively low headspeed with a 18T tail pulley for better tail authority and my timer is set to 5:00 (1050mAh 6S batteries). FTP setup doesn’t have any major impact on flight times and I still have plenty of reserves when the timer beeps. The whole setup fits inside the canopy and quite often I fly my Fireball ’old fashioned way’ LOS without the fpv goggles and with the canopy on. It would be quite easy to drill a hole to the nose of the canopy for the camera but I haven’t done it yet because I am afraid to ruin the beautiful paint job!

Here is another fpv video. I have fine-tuned my setup a little bit but but the heli still feels a little bit shaky. I think that dfc rotor head is not perfect choise for smoth ride.
