Just pulled some castle logs from the Trex500. And doing some FBL tuning on that model. Slightly lowering Headspeed and going a click or two north on the blade pitch. my 700 needs a bit of tail tuning. I went out last week and flew it 6s, just need to dial the tail and setup a bank for LOW headspeed stuff on tail gyro settings.

Going to swap out the main / tail shaft bearings and the tail belt on my goblin 380. Thrust bearings will be getting some fresh boto lube also.

This and the what's out for delivery today thread go hand in hand... what did you get, then what did you do

Great idea for a thread!

I got to work on my Logo 600s tail assembly a little bit. I found that the end of the boom had gotten pinched somehow, and was out of round. I put it in the tail clamps, tightened up the screws, and squeezed it back into shape.

Installed an Aerospire Multigov in a Trex 600n. Flew 1 tank today and it is already better than the fbl governor I was using.

I worked on remembering how to fly. I hadn't touched the sticks since the season ended here in cold country. I set down with the simulator and worked out my thumbs for 20 minutes. Its never like the real thing but it was fun to fly again. Hopefully I can be faithful and get in regular flights between now and Spring.

Tonight I spent a little time redesigning my electric fuel pump battery mount to incorporate a 3 position momentary switch (MOM-OFF-MOM). Just leave the switch on the pump itself set to on and the momentary switch actually controls it. Much easier to top off a fuel tank with this because as soon as you release the pump turns off, rather than having to flip the switch off before fuel starts squirting everywhere.

Works pretty well

I will be installing a carbon folding tail rotor on a 230. Have one on my other one and love it. Also working on the setup on a Bavarian Demon Axon. Flying inside too!

Terrible weather at the moment and going into next week - constant gusting winds of 45-60 mph and day temps of 3 to 5 C So a good opportunity for some deep maintenance and general all over checking of airframes, connectors & wiring - plus one or two small mods that I have been meaning to do for a while.

Going to make some chips, not sure what I'm going to do yet and I'm still teaching myself, so Fusion 360 open and hopefully a light bulb turns on above my head.

Been working on my Oxy 5 today and finished everything up. Offcourse the very last step in the setup proces blocks the joy of it's first spoolup. Vcontrol doesn't initialize the Scorpion ESC wizard (app), where it did before I installed everything in the frame.

Tomorrow I'll unplug and start troubleshooting. Also gonna remove the microbrain from my Oxy2 and install a Neo on there that I bought today from a fellow HF member. I'm sticking with one Tx.

@ArmchairNinja what's in the small Lynx/Oxy bag on the left? Is that the motor support thing I keep hearing about?

I’m ordering more bolts for my Gaui X5. It seems that none were included to mount the balls to the servo arms. Made an order from boltdepot.com with about 5x bolts of each size from M2 to M3. Arggggg..... (It’s the 3rd small parts order since I started the build)

If only I could source M2 bolts locally.
