Default Throttle drop when Mah alarm is hit

I have a specter 700, hw160esc, scorpion 4530 motor and the DS-14 radio. I have the esc voltage cutoff set to none. in Airplane mode, there is nothing on the brain settings I can see that would lower the throttle.
I've seen nothing in the Jeti menus that would lower the throttle either, but at the same time it hits the mah alarm, it seems to drop instantly to my lowest headspeed.

Any thoughts?

The callout of the mah alarm really shouldn't, like you say, change head speed. If I was wanting to do that, I would set up a logical switch to set my idle up to idle 1 given the mah alarm activating. You would know if you programmed that

You could try lowering your alarm threshold--say from 3000 mah to 2500 mah and see if it drops head speed at that value. This would tell you if you are running all the way to where the batteries cannot supply voltage and the rpm drop is battery voltage caused rather than alarm caused. If that's not it you might dig through the advanced menus and flight modes to see if something got set.

In your Brain setup, go to Advanced Menu -> Common -> Throt. & Gov -> Telem Input and check whether there is a value set in "mAh Useable". If there is, it will reduce the throttle value to 80% when this value is exceeded.

Timers/sensors>alarms: in alarms for capacity, you didn’t happen to check box “set throttle idle” near bottom of menu?

I've never paid attention to that "set throttle to idle" setting. I learned something! Good thing I didn't ever check it by accident.

I must say that I have always wondered about the use for it.

The same for ESC that have the option to cut throttle when battery gets low.
Give me mAh and Voltage telemetry any day over these options.

Winner winner...
I'll change this to 4500 and see what happens. Makes sense for what happens. My batts are coming back at 27% remaining, so I am certain they are not being overdrawn. Also, lowest cells are 3.77. Thanks for all the suggestions.
