Default 550e New Gearbox - Tight?

I just installed a new torque tube gearbox into my 550e. Not experienced with this helicopter, so, question whether the new gearbox should be notchie/tight? The old one was very smooth and easy to spin. The new one is notichie and requires a bit of effort to spin it.

I am assuming it smooth out after some breaking period?

Never mind. I had the gear mesh too tight. Now it is butter smooth.

I've had some new red gears from Align that were a little tight. I turned back the shoulder on the forward torque tube gear which allowed me to move the gear back in the bearing slightly and loosen the mesh slightly.

FYI - Anytime there is a gear or a bearing that is "notchie/tight", it is a bad thing and it is never safe to assume "... it smooth out after some breaking period
