Do I understand correctly that you'd like a "kit" to wind the motor yourself?

All our motors are hand-wound, so there is no performance benefit to be gained from winding it yourself, but if you're interested in doing it for the fun, feel free to drop me a PM and I'll see what we can do

I'm fine here and will discuss privately what I want to do and which motors I want. Be careful with the forums while on the road. Patience is a virtue im just glad you took the time out to tell us the companies plans. I think everyone would be elated at another beautiful option for self winding.

Hi Vincent and ego drift,

Have a look at these hi capacity cells. They are from a real EV. Look at the tabs. Now we can use heavy cables! with the inverters. I strapped together 5 for a 5s pack and the results are promising. I'm still figuring the cells out . Each one was was around 3.7 volts received. I charged them individually to 4.2 volts. That took the charge amperage from 5 amps at the start of the charging cycle to 3.5 amperes @ the finish. It took about 28 min to charge the cell at this amperage. Looks like they will make a robust power supply . I have 5 volt 1 farad super capacitors.They are the button type and I consider a pcb with one between the terminals on each cell. The boat is coming together nicely. The hull can be the Miss Tosti Asti or Pay N pak.

Hi Vincent,Ben,
I recieved your PM's and am very patient for the nice machine. I hold the thread closed momentarily til the attitudes calm a bit. I will open it after I am sure we have regained a positive air. The fighting is really not necessary between motor designers. I dont want this thread to be torn apart with ad hominem and sheer nonsense. The boat comes along well and I have couplings for the external rotor machines. A 8mm shaft is prefereable but 6mm will work. If it all works out I'll introduce this as an alternative to the other allowed outrunner in the scale class which is a 4035 scorpion. You might sale a few to sailors. The winds I will use will have ultra low resistance and hit the target Kv's appropriate for sailors. Im will trying to develop a serially connected wye to delta 6 tooth single layer scheme that will not only attenuate the 2 pole harmonic but also maximize the torque density of the machine. In concept it should be possible. Please send the raw stack when you can if nothing but a stator and rotor. Might be better that way for many reasons. we'll talk in pm about why. Id also like to work with the egodrift on the 3 an 4 layer windings. No one really wants to do these multiple layers but me. I think form a design standpoint its an esier way to reduce rotor and pm losses. Segmentation isnt cheap and dependint on the machine can be a complicate process. I will draw up some ideas for water cooling and send them to you. You may not be interested in any of this but I once had a 3d flyer ask how could we bring water cooling to a heli in a feasible way? I dont know but I def have a system that will cool the motor at ambient to <-29° Celcius and the weight is minimal. This industry hasnt reached its peak yet. The drones tech is off the hook. The APD drives filtering capabilities can improve the external rotor machines performance. They may also allow single layer operation that as harmonically clean as the dual layer conterpart only it has a higher torque density than its dual layer brother.

I haven't been able to attain a Kit so Ill buy one and simply break it down. Hate to do that but it seems the only way Ill wind the motor and put it in the boat. Quite a bit of time has passed and I need the motor .It will be ok I can just buy it wound retail. Money is never an issue I just needed a raw stack. I'm sure it would be very easy for egodrift to prepare this and send it to me if they choose. It was never about them offering any kits to the masses and I think everyone is aware that is never my mission anything that has to do with mass consumption by consumers. Its time to wind some motors around here versus being stuck on stupid....doing nothing....

Still no kit Vincent ? I really want the raw stack for this boat and I want the "scale edition" housing. Do this because I may try to introduce it as a viable alternative to whats allowed in the scale class. So far the only outrunner that is is the Scorpion 4035 . The motor would be wound to about 750 or so Kv for 8 and 10 s lipo.
