Default Satellite/remote USB connection

Does anybody have a good option for a satellite USB connection like this MSH option? Or better yet has anybody used this with the Mini Vbar?

A few years ago I had a Mini vbar in a Mini Protos and did have a USB extension from the Vbar in the frame and routed to the side of the frame but I was never comfortable with the USB extension on the Vbar so close to the main shaft. I'm getting back into helis with a Protos 380 and another Vbar.

Is there a better way to get a data connection while the unit is mounted in the P380 frame?

PS, I'm not going to mount it on the traditional boom mount. Early on my path in the hobby I wrecked a boom mounted gyro in a crash so I don't want to chance that again.

Mikado has no USB extension for their units. It is a standard USB C connector and maybe you can get a short cable at a PC shop to fit permanently to the Vbar, but as these cables are fairly thick and heavy it will transfer unwanted vibrations to the VBar.

They must have changed to the USB-C because the one I had before and the one I have now are mini USB. I did leave a Mini USB extension permanently fixed to the Vbar and didn't notice any troubles.

Could it be possible to use that MSH satellite USB with the Vbar? 4 wire connection from the USB box and the Mini Vbar has the 4 pins on top.

No not possible to use the MSH unit at all as the mini VBar uses BT on those pins.

MSH also has a Bluetooth unit that uses the same pins as the remote USB but clearly my only option is the same as what I used last time 😞

if it is still a Mini VBar... why not use a BT module? either the mikado version or 5$ cheapo ebay ones do work. i remember i've mounted one of them in a 450 AirWolf once - did work with the Android app without any trouble.
