Hi,

I just replied above but I will post it here. Brian will see this post and correct me if I am wrong. I could give an educated guess that your FC6250HX may need to be updated to the latest firmware in order to communicate with the 4651T. Make sure that you have an SPMA3065 cable on hand to do any updates to your system, if you don't have it already. It will also allow you to program port 6 for use in the future for another servo or a lighting system, as examples. Take care.

If I was to add one more thing, update your 4651T at the same time. When the 360 was released, the 4651T was not on the market and no internal firmware was there to recognize the new telemetry remote. Unless you update the FC6250HX, the firmware will not know how to communicate with the remote. Likewise, there was an update (seems mostly for the EU version but it can't hurt to keep it up to date) for the 4651T that I have updated mine with and get some of the most solid linking to the helicopter I have seen since I started to pay attention to the fades and frame losses. Take care.

BNF/RTF firmware only supports the 4649t and dsmx remotes.

Open stock requires a SRXL2 telemetry remote and also supports non-telemetry dsmx remotes (not the 4649t).

The situation was unavoidable simply because the 4649t cannot be detected over any other dsmx remote so it is impossible to know if one is connected.

If you are happy with the way the model performs there is no benefit to going to the open stock firmware and the 4651t remote, the bnf/rtf firmware and 4649t provides the exact same functionality including smart esc telemetry if you have installed a smart esc.

The 4649t is a great remote, I personally use it on several models and find rf performance is very good, I won't be replacing the ones I am using now.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Already been down this road...bought a 4651T just wanted to the newest receiver. Just kept the 4649T because the BNF software works so well.

Barry, like Brian, I have four 4649T telemetry receivers (either a second or third remote) and they will stay where they are as they are all doing the job they were bought for. In future, I will be using the 4651T for telemetry and the carbon remote, 9746 as secondary remotes. Take care.

Light blue led flash just means forward programming is active.

What fwdprg options are missing?

Open stock firmware allows adjustment of additional parameters but the bnf/rtf firmware has default settings for the specific helicopter and the specific electronics so those options are not needed in that case.

Open stock firmware covers all helicopters and with that comes the additional work to setup every single parameter, bnf/rtf firmware allows you to reset to defaults, subtrim servos and it is ready to fly.
