Setup is similar to most FBL helis. The only unusual thing is the channel that's normally used for tail gyro gain is on the M2 used to turn stability on and off.

I should have said that I have not set up a FBL Heli yet, just the spectrum bind and flys, I went through the setup for the heli and got lost when the servo assignments were not as described as is in this thread, Can you possibly steer me to a thread the explains setting up a heli on a jeti radio system? Thanks

There’s a couple YTube videos. I’m pretty sure this is the one I started with

I also created a video for the brain flybarless setup which explains the mapping of physical controls to channels which may also help.

Have a look and let me know if it helps

This will help me! I have a Trex 470l kit assembled with a Brain 2 to program. I have got the mapping all set on the M2. I have to get my switches set for stability mode and throttle curves set yet. There is hope for this 63 year old yet! Thanks!

Default OMP - Jeti - reciever

What a great thread... however, could someone clarify for me.

What is the preferred Jeti receiver to use?

Using a single bus wire.

Thanks for your help in advance.

The smallest one you can get...

It needs Sbus output: (in order of size)

EX R7 nano
EX R4/5
REX3

I will have to defer on what it takes to get Sbus out on the EX RXs. I think they have to be loaded with an older firmware for Sbus...

I am running the r7 nano as it is available in our country.

You just download the sbus firmware off the espritmodel website. Then you choose udi as output it works a charm. The firmware notes explains although you choose udi it then actually outputs sbus.

I used the sbus firmware back in the day when i flew the align 3gx as well.

For comparison, here is a photo of a stock R4i, an R4i that has be depined, and an R7 nano. The servo cables are there only for testing. For the M2, you would use an OMP S-Bus cable.

Here is an R7 nano on a OMP M1.

i've been using it in a 1m DLG... the usual 100-150m have not been a real problem. should be enough for the tiny helis too... anyhow be sure to have a good antenna placement => much more shielding materials on a heli

Yes, but for the EX series receivers you need the special SBus firmware from Esprit.

The new REX series have SBus support with the latest official firmware.
