Default Tail wag

I just got my 150s, so never crashed setup as directed other than different switch for panic.
What i have going on is the tail wags when in stunt 1 (75%). it goes away in stunt 2 (90%).
I saw the post on battery strapped down too tight. i have it very loose.
I am in Texas so the air is hot 100 deg.
any ideas?
thanks

I don't have a solution, but I get occasional tail wag on my 150s as well.

I usually take off in Normal mode, and sometimes the tail wag happens as soon as I take off. A quick toggle into IU1 or IU2 solves it for me, and the tail holds very well. Even switching back to Normal mode doesn't lead to the tail to start wagging again.

Also, this doesn't always happen for me, may be 1 in 10 take offs. Not sure what is the cause behind it.

Is the tail doing a continuous oscillation, or is it just bouncing on tail tail stops?

In my experience, the battery strap has no bearing at all on the tail wagging. Since you haven't crashed it, I'll bet it's just a tail tuning issue. You'll have to do some searching and reading. Here are some resources:

Forward Programming the 150S tail

Some info for 150S (from RCgroup)

But that tail bounce ....

The last link is about the Fusion 180, but there may be some stuff in there that helps.

I had wag issues out of the box, i was advised my tail wag issues may be vibrations caused by the servo wires being too tight! I removed some of the cable ties & using the screwdriver shaft i just created a little loop/slack, and generally tidied up the wiring and the wag was gone, ive never had to touch any gains.

Check all the wires, especially around the fbl, that there are none touching and causing vibes.

Worth checking this before going into advanced settings

Default Make sure all FBL cables have some slack

Check the cables going into the FBL/RX - when any one of them is too tight, it transfers vibrations which play havok with the FBL. On my 150S, I also had the tail wag. I discovered that the bind plug cable had zero slack going into the FBL - I went in and adjusted the cables so that they all had some slack going into the FBL.

Tail wag is gone!

Thanks for all your advice.
The wag a seemed to stop on it's own.
I checked and pulled on all the wires but none seemed tight. But that may have been the issue.
So now no big wag going on.
It sure is a noisy tail though. lots of high pitch wine. Seems like a little bit bigger rotor blade would help slow down the motor a little bit.

You want the tail rotor to accelerate fast and the damped mode of the esc firmware to be able to decelerate it as fast as possible. A larger prop would be worse for these factors. It may also draw more current and do bad things to the tail esc. Check out vids of the omphobby m2. It's two blade prop makes a worse sound imo. That may make you feel better about the tone of the 150s tail 😁

I had tail wag almost every second flight. I found out, changing to stability mode and then changing back to 3D mode solved the problem when there was tail wag. After the tail was rock solid.
