![]() I have what looks like snow flakes falling on my power up screen....
when I answer yes to power up the home screen is normal.. I though it was trying to say my TX got hot while I was waiting to fly but worked fine.. After I got home and the radio cooled down from being outside...it still has those "snow flakes" falling... was this always there and I just hadn't noticed or did my radio over heat and it is something I should worry about.. any clue? |

![]() You must have the time set wrong in the Tx, it thinks it's Christmas (seriously)

![]() If you pulled power to change a switch, that's likely when the clock got skewed. It may be hard to find log files if the clock is off, also.

![]() This is funny cause in December by us its high summer and snow is very rare in winter so when i saw it first time i immediately realized.
Its great the radio can do it but helis popping out of presents would have been way more appropriate for me ![]() |

![]() You guys are funny but no help at all...LOL
Ok well I shut it down and rebooted the OS and the snow flakes are gone.. Not sure if it's a heat warning or not as there is nothing in the Manual that says anything about snow flakes... But if it is, it would be nice if when it cooled down it went away on it's own... Or at least give us a heads up somewhere about it... |

![]() We werent joking. The snow flakes really are meant to show up at Christmas. You must have the month wrong in the Tx setup.

![]() Yep snow flakes are normal. Not a bug. Snow falls on December 1st and disappears January 1st. Just Reset the clock to the correct time and date, then wait for December to see the snow fly again.

![]() Ironically it’s called an ‘Easter Egg’ a little snippet of code put in by the dev. as a joke or surprise.

![]() Actually if you set it to December 24th you will see Santa Claus and the Deers crossing your screen at one point.

![]() Rex 3 mostly a heli receiver, with exception of those using Aura or Cortex or similar Stabi gizmo. I guess the sales wouldn't cover the (ridiculous) costs. Why the FCC can't accept EU cert is another question. Do they think EU doesn't know how to examine a product? Canada accepts FCC cert so there can be int'l cooperation. Maybe we can buy our REX3s from that guy in a trench coat just south of the border.

![]() couldn't they be ordered from somewhere over seas that doesn't care what the FCC's opinion is? I used to order cigarettes from Russia when I smoked since they were about $15 per carton vs. $50 per carton. I'm quite sure that was less than legal. If the cigarettes never arrived (assuming customs caught them), they would just send another carton

![]() I don't fly anything smaller than 516 blades (can't see them anymore) so a REX 7 will fit anywhere. There are REX3's with short antennas, and some with baluns, so beware of what you're ordering. Dan
