![]() Sorry for the stupid question but even after looking at the YT videos I am not quite sure about the procedure.
When setting up the pitch/roll 12.5 degrees travel you need to put the pitch gauge on one blade and make it a) parallel to the tail boom for roll and b) // for pitch What I am not sure is about the pitch gauge default setting. It is mentioned you should zero down the pitch gauge. ok but what does it mean? Do you need to adjust throttle/pitch stick when a)blade is parallel to the tail boom and move it until you read 0 and then do the same with b) ? Or does it just mean blades must be at 0 degree angle for a) and b) obviously it is not the same at all as if you try to zero the pitch gauge when the blade is parallel to the boom it will certainly not make the blades at 0 degree angle. I am not sure I am clear so to say it differently: when mentioning 0 for the pitch gauge reading is it 0 degree pitch or do you have to 0 it when blades are parallel and then // ? |

![]() Center collective stick should be near 0 degrees after sub trimming and linkage adjustment. Slightly off to start out won't cause any issue here since you are zeroing the pitch gauge to the current position and then measuring the relative throw from that reference point.
Align the blades with the boom, center collective stick, zero pitch gauge out, apply full right cyclic and adjust roll afr until you see 12.5 on the pitch gauge. Rotate the blades so they are perpendicular to the boom, zero, full aft cyclic and adjust pitch afr to see 12.5.
