Default Why does my VCT always connect to my LG Smart refrigerator?

I have 3 wifi signals at my house. The signal from my router, a signal from an access point for my smoker control and my LG smart fridge.
Every time I power up my vct in the house it connects to the LG refrigerator. I then tell it to connect to the router and then enter the passcode. Why doesn't the vct remember the last wifi it was connected to and then reconnect to it on the next powerup?

From the manual

WiFi Connectivity
The built-in WiFi module connects to your wireless network
at home or to your personal hotspot on the go. It is as simple as selecting the SSID (name) of the network from a list
and typing in the password. VBar Control will automatically
re-connect every time the radio is switched on, and if one
of the known WiFi networks is present.

You must have connected it before to your fridge.

I have never connected it to my refrigerator, why would I do that? And besides when it does connect the the refrigerator I always redirect it to my router (sr71blackbird) and enter the passcode. Why doesn't it remember that??

I am not a Mikado (VBar or VControl) user and I don't have an LG ref.
But... Is your LG "Smart Refrigerator" an open / unsecure network?
Maybe you have to use a laptop to connect to the ref's WiFi so you can then get onto its built-in configuration web-page and then connect it to your home's WiFi network. Or, maybe use its front panel.
Then it would stop advertising its built in WiFi and the vct would stop connecting to it.

I have simple weather sensors that come out of the box with their WiFi enabled. You have to connect to its WiFi simply to tell it to join one of the WiFi networks it sees that has Internet access. Then, they stop advertising their built-in WiFi.
But, if you do connect your ref to the Internet, make sure it has a strong password. Or the hackers will get into it and melt the ice-cream.

Your post got me thinking ( a dangerous thing), so I never had installed the LG app on my phone, didn't think I needed it and still don't, plus I don't like the added security risk associated with this type of app. I have now installed the app which activated (for lack of a better word) the fridge wifi and now vct ignores the refrigerator when powered up and logs onto sr71blackbird. Problem solved. Now for my next vct issue....Susan's voice

Been doing a lot more biking and kayaking this summer. Needed a heli break! Got burnt out.

Also got the old RC cars out leading to a nitro car purchase and monster truck purchase and electrifying a 1/6 scale older CEN Genesis truck.
Used to love my nitro cars.

Got a Goblin 580 nitro to build and a picked up a used Protos 700 to work on!

Let's see if the spark comes back.

Hope you are all well.

Oh thanks. Hope you all enjoyed the break from me. Man, is it hard to get back into things.
I can count on on two hands how many flights I did this summer.
Been browsing the forum and liking posts, but just not much to interact with. It's so weird how hard it is to get into conversations when you're not doing said subject matter even if you still like the subject.
