Default Neuron ESC

Anyone try a Neuron ESC on a heli? Thinking of getting a 60A for my Protos 380 and just using a Hobbywing RPM sensor with it. Tired of waiting for the new Tribunus 6S-80. Plus it's a lot cheaper. Just a weaker BEC that has me slightly concerned.

I use a Neuron 60s and Hobbywing RPM sensor in a Trex 470. I have not had any BEC issues. It works great and provides plenty of telemetry, including CMAH to my FrSky transmitter.

Good to hear. Which servos are you using. I have MKS DS 95s on the model that I'm looking at switching.

I am using Align 450M and 455M servos. I also have a Neuron 60s in a Freewing Rebel EDF. No problems.

As an added geeky bonus, the plane ESC is set up to play The Simpsons theme song at startup.

I am so glad you told me about that. Now I have to come up with something cool to play. Theme from Jaws maybe?

I purchased mine at Aloft Hobbies where they include the USB Linker with the ESC.

Here is a guide to program the startup tones: https://oscarliang.com/blheli-32-cus...up-tone-music/

Did you convert the RPM output to actual head RPM? I'm having trouble figuring out how to do it. There's nothing I can find in BLHeli and I can't figure out any was to divide the RPM by my head ratio.

Nevermind. The brain outputs converted RPM so no need.

Everything went perfectly with the maiden over the weekend. People even got a laugh at the Airwolf theme playing at startup.
