YS Engines US Distributor has changed (01/01/21)
Pardon me for cross posting this (it is also in the "Engines and Mufflers" forum), but I thought it might be something that needs a broader audience.
It appears that Rich has retired and as of Jan 1 2021, CK Aero is the new US Distributorship for parts and repair (https://www.ckaero.net/). The email is ysengines@ckaero.net. https://www.ckaero.net/blogs/news/ck...service-center Quote:
It looks like the site focuses on F3A pattern. I didn't see any helicopters on that site. YS is not listed on their pages as a "Brand" that I can find. And, it doesn't have any parts or engines listed on the site. Optimistically, it is too soon for them to have the web site updated and everything will be handled through email. Contact: Quote:
This was YS Engine's US distributor and parts supplier and was based in Nevada. It was run by Richard Verano (I've talked to him a lot over the years, but I never met him). I accidentally found out about it today. But that site is no longer online

First Dave and now Richard. For parts I have had excellent service at YS Direct
ys_top Parts Order tab at the top. Helicopters was always a small side business. F3A and Pylon Racing were the main interests of Dave and Richard. The 115 WS is of course for Warbird Racing with something like 70% nitro. |

If I have to go off-shore for YS parts or motors, I prefer RC Japan
It seems odd that this big and event didn't cause a disturbance in the Force. I would expected a more wide spread announcement.

Bryan is a well established YS guy, we are in good hands with Bryan. I fly F3A pattern on the national level and bryan is well known for being the YS guy in the USA. As Four stroke mentioned, Pattern and Pylon is YS's biggest market. Hell electric has never won the worlds in F3A Pattern.

"We have always used YS Power as our chosen propulsion because of the unmatched power to weight ratio"
This is why the new YS FZ 80 is an excellent heli engine for 600 size. The small 80 will run 14,000 rpm all day. Naohisa Yamada gives excellent support. Although not listed you can get F3A mufflers for the 80 and 115 size engines. These are essentially the old Hatori mufflers since Hatori is out of business. Is Bryan going to stock the F3A mufflers, headers and tools from YS ? |
