As most of you know the field resides in a flood plain. We had some heavy rain yesterday with the storms that came through. As usual with the rain, the field does flood. It also usually dries up relatively quickly. We do have standing water out in the field and we are pretty sure it will drain out quickly. The ground will be soggy but the event is still on. Will update when available.

Field update: The photos attached were taken at 6:30PM today. The field is still about 6-8 inches under water. It seems to be draining rather quickly but I cannot say for sure when it will be empty. We remain optimistic that it will be drained by Saturday based on previous experiences. Even if it is drained, the field will be very soft. Anyone planning to camp should use their best judgment. I would encourage any campers into looking at Tannehill State Park as a backup camping site. I will report the field condition again in the morning. Thank you.

It is interesting how the authors of the above points respond now to these queries after the outbreak of the pandemic.
