Default Rate mode, or how to turn off heading hold

Does anyone know how to turn on Rate mode on the FC6250HX (how to turn off heading hold)?

Is it as simple as setting a negative P, I and/or D?

Very simple, as far as I know. On your transmitter, change the Gyro setting from a positive number to negative. I think the default number is 65 that they suggest you start at. Change it to - 65 and go from there. Take care.

Ok Iíll see if I can get that to work again. I use a DX6 (G3) and thus I have the Tx Gyro menu disabled to free that gain/gear channel so forward programming knows the FlightMode...

Hence I figured since the Tx Gyro menu is nothing more than sending gain values to the tail P-setting I might as well go negative on the P.

I don't think that is how it works. If you don't have the channels or can't set the overall gain in FP, then unless Brian comes on and tells you how to do it, don't screw around with it as it may develop an unwanted behaviour. I was not aware that you only had 6 channels to work with.

Iím pretty sure you have to use the gyro gain in the transmitter as thereís no way to set the gain inside the 6250 software. Adjusting the pids without the gain channel isnít going to work.
