Have these been trialed extensively on the Kraken and we know they are an actual improvement over factory on the RAW 700? I as well very interested to know!!

I'm curious too, and also wondering if they fit the Goblin Black Thunder 700?

I think they are designed for the Kraken and Raw.

I bought a set. I will install them once my Raw arrives and report back.

Yea I use them in my Kraken 700, 580 electrics and 580 nitro.. this is a proven design and works great in all the machines I listed..Designed by Augusto who designed all Avant helis .. this is a proven dampening setup he used in those machines..great for low and high headspeed.. they will last forever as well.. Great product.. I will be ordering another pair for my Raw

Your getting a dampener that will last the life of the heli.. not sure what’s so crazy.. spending over a $1,000 for an rc heli kit is kinda crazy too

Relatively speaking, cheap yes, but still, $20 for 2 hunks of rubber or whatever they are made of, is a bit much IMO. Lifelong part or not. I will admit I have not compared them to the stock dampener.

So go spend a few thousand dollars, or more and buy your own lathe so you can save $20. It’s not just the material cost, it takes time, knowledge and equipment to make them. I have made them on my manual lathe, not difficult but I would sell them for a similar if not higher price. We are spoiled by China pricing, but not everything is made in China!

The cost is no big deal when you look at the total cost of a 700 helicopter.

What about the stock setup ? Is there a need to replace the dampers with something else ? I am not a high end 3D pilot so do ridged dampers make the Heli less forgiving ? Are these more for 3D or will there be improvement in the feel even on lower head speeds, or higher head speed big air type flying ? I would kind of like to try them but I think I should build it stock first and then buy and install them.

I'm still learning about dampers, but from what I've gathered, stiffer dampers mainly just improve cyclic response. Effectively making cyclic movements more locked in and crisper, and sometimes faster too.
Freeskiken likes this.

Thatís kind of what I was thinking for me not being a crack 3D pilot the stock dampeners may be better.

So far my little experience with the rigid core dampeners they are just not smack 3D dampeners .. yes it is a stiffer head but you can always tune the main rotor to your liking especially when using a Neo.. the reason I purchased them is longevity and performance.. and yea I like to spend money on new products.. not saying they are needed just another great option
jakeg1999 and Freeskiken like this.

How do these stiff dampeners perform for low head speeds and auto rotations? Any annoying shakes or wobbles?

From their website;

using a custom made non-linear compression plastic this dampener allows you to convert your head to a fully Rigid Head with its amazing 3D response and virtual elimination of boomstrikes but at the same time it avoids the Rigid Head drawbacks at low head speeds. It allows you to hover down to an incredible 500 RPM which translates into amazing autos that donít lose their energy and amazing hovering characteristics.

I would definitely be interested in the results on how they feel in flight as compared to the stock setup. Keep us informed. Thank you

I wouldnít say it is night and day difference ..look what Kyle and other top pilots do with stock dampeners .. I like the longevity with these VS stock.. Performance for me is what I want as well

One thing I needed to do when installing them into the kraken 700 head was use a deburring tool to chamfer the edge of the headblock so the dampener went in without damaging the inner o ring on the dampener.. also use lots of lubrication. ..the kraken 580 the chamfer was not needed
