I always keep a Spektrum TX around for the BNF stuff. Keep things simple and get the Jeti DS-12, along with a Spektrum NX?.

depending of your need for the trainer-plug there are 2 options:

1. attach a dsmx transmitter module to your ds-12 (internally to the ppm connector) or externally via trainer-plug. for external connection you have to find a way power the dsmx transmitter. => trainer-plug not available for trainer-student.

2. (what i am using). external Jeti/Spektrum converter box: use any Jeti receiver that can output PPM (i.e. mine is a rex3) and connect them with a dsmx transmitter module and a small 2s lipo in a little box. => trainer-plug still available (i do need it) and lipo voltage of the box is shown via Jeti standard telemetry.

we're using it for some bnf stuff like 200QX 3D and similar. working fine, never wanted to keep a different Tx....

Ciao
Michael

Choice #2 I did exactly that too. Latency is not noticed by me for my skill grade:
Third Party Devices: Wireless Bridge Box Jeti to Spektrum DSM2/DSMX (3 min 19 sec)
