Default Bad bad bad.

Today my DX7s Gen 2 would not power on.

I plug in charger and it powers on fine. Battery shows 8.1 volts.
I unplug charger and the DX7 powers off. So switch, charging, connectors good.

Has anyone seen this before?

Failed battery pack? I'll rig up some NiCads and test.

Hope this rig isn't failed, just bought it 2 years ago.

Edit: actually battery is 2.4volts. So probably bad there.
When I plug it in it shows the charging voltage, not the battery voltage :/

Anyone have a DX7 battery pack for sale?

A bit confused by your description of the transmitter. The DX7s is pretty old. The Gen 2 or DX7G2 is newer. This is the Li-Ion battery for a few of the G2's including DX7G2.

Sorry, DX7 Gen2.

Actually I found the problem. One battery polarity was reversed to -0.5v. I'm guessing the balance pcb between the batteries failed. The other battery was fine at 3.7v.
Grff.
