Default Nimh and Digital Servo's

I have been a Spektrum user right from the DX7 and mainly fly helicopters. The Nitro helicopters use Lipo receiver battery, and then a regulator to power receiver and servos. Never had so called brown out. Have been sorting out my sons power model and using telemetry equipped receiver can see battery voltage high and low under load. Using a brand new Mimh 2500 Mah 5 cell battery fully charged, with 3-std Digital and std servo, found the following. Moving all stick rapidly pull the voltage down to 5.5 volts.
Have not even plugged aileron servo in.
Bottom line Nimh batteries cannot give out the current under load . As far as I am concerned 1.1v per cell for Mimh's is low voltage.
