Default Question about 4651T and signal drop

Hi Brian and others that might know this,

Today, in helping with another brand of gyro using the 4651T, I did an experiment where I ran up my scale chassis (no tail and no main rotor) to my low throttle setting and disconnected the 4651T. There is also a 9645 connected and bound to the 6250. When I reconnected the 4651T, the throttle dropped out and then spooled up fairly rapidly (no head and blades so no drag) and continued on operating. I did this a couple of times with the same result. For a control, I started over again and this time disconnected the 9645 and then reconnected it. There was no throttle drop out and the system carried on like nothing had happened. With no logging, it is impossible to see what is happening in the background but it seems that the 4651T is the tail wagging the dog here. With a valid signal coming from the 9645, there should be no fail-safe (if that is what happened when the 4651T was disconnected) and therefore no dropping of the throttle signal. Any thoughts?

Don
