I don't have first hand experience with the new MBP with M1 chip, but I imagine all popular simulators that run natively on Mac OS (neXt, Heli-X, AccuRC) should run fine on the new MBP. I believe the question is whether Windows OS only simulators (RealFlight, Phoenix) would run well on the M1 MBP using Parallels or another virtual machine.

I wiped my old Air after getting the new M1 up and running. Then, restaged my old Air and installed bootcamp/windows. Now, I have my old machine only running Windows and the new laptop only running OS. I didn't want to clutter up the new machine with emulators.

I run neXt on a mid 2012 mac (upgraded to 16gb RAM and 2x SSD's) and it runs fine.... 60 frames constant with 2 displays to 28" monitors. I'd guess if my old PC can do it the M1 can

im running it on a 2020 MacBook Air, its fine at 1080p. Anything higher and it won't run 60 frames. I need more storage so time to upgrade, figure I would ask around first before spending 2500

The MacBook Air excels at being very light and compact, but it inevitably sacrifices computer power.
