I believe it does. Ennio Graber took 2nd place in the 2019 F3C Precision Aerobatics World Championship with an almost stock Kraken. In effect, the Kraken served as the basis/prototype for the new Genesis. At the beginning of 2019, I was aware that SAB was updating the Urukay. I had this vision of the new Urukay looking like the typical F3C helicopter we see at contests overseas (e.g., Quest Impaction 775 with a Staysee fuselage). When I first saw the new Genesis, I was somewhat disappointed in that it did not have my notion of that "F3C" look; however, the design has grown on me. I like the green color scheme but having owned three green helicopters, they're not easy for me to see when they're far out as they would be when flying F3C. I might order one directly from SAB and have their custom shop swap out the green for something else.....maybe a red/orange blend or cub yellow.

All new sab releases will most likely be using the same kraken drive train

Found a photo of the new Genesis without the canopy covering the mechanics/electronics. As expected, looks like a Kraken.

As of yesterday, this is available for pre-order. Still not many naked photos.

Really nice machine. Add tri-tail, and step it down to a 720mm blade and turn up the RPM.

The tapered titanium main shaft and securing system is quite different. Time will tell how it plays out in the field. I'm hoping the QC will be there to make sure there is no wobble because if the tapers on each and every part is not exactly perfect, its going to make a wobble and vibration.

Looks like Eric Weber is using a Kontronik Pyro 750-56 Competition with the Kosmik 250 ESC and Axon FBL system in his Genesis. I haven't seen details about Ennio Graber's setup.

I am planning on using MKS servos (850 cyclic, 880 tail), Axon FBL, Kosmic 250 ESC and still thinking through the motor choice...Kontronik ?/X-Nova ? There are several choices that would work very well for head speeds of 1400-1950 RPM with the 2 blade F3C head

What are others considering for their setup on the Genesis ?

Well, as I've mentioned in a previous post, while I like green, it's hard for me to see when the heli is far out so I'm still thinking about having the SAB custom shop paint a Genesis in bright yellow, black and white.....basically the same scheme as the green overall but just substituting bright yellow for green. This past summer, one of my 700s broke a motor belt in flight and the heli pancaked in. Parts are not easy to find so I'm considering removing the electronics and installing them in a new Genesis. That would be R1 for cyclics, Futaba BLS276SV tail, Brain2, JETI REX 7 receiver, Xnova XTS Temptation 525kv motor and I have a new, unused Kontronik Kosmik 250 that I would also install. If I was purchasing everything brand new, the only thing I might change is substituting Xpert KD1 servos for the R1s.

Here's a more in-depth description of the new Genesis with some flying video.

I believe it has the RAW mechanics and not the Kraken mechanics.

Heck, I find green to be one of the least visible colors for helis. Maybe it'll be like the Raw with different colors as an "upgrade".

Not an enlarged 580.

While some of the mechanics and individual parts are very similar to or shared between the Kraken 580 and 700 series, there are significant differences in the design of the Genesis. The rotor head has been designed specifically for F3C and precision flying in terms of the cyclic geometry and control inputs.

Additionally, it is designed to run at head speeds of 1900 rpm and lower, which is lower than typical 3D machines that run at 2000+ rpm. The longer main blades supplied (747mm for the Genesis) are also design specific for F3C flying in terms of length, width, mass, and center of gravity.

It is possible to use the Genesis for "mild 3D" and sport flying, but the pricing is relatively high as compared to other Goblins that are available.

Choice of the Goblin mechanics (and electronic installation) ultimately depends on what the individual wishes to purchase.
