Default Tail wags

I’ve bought a upgraded tail bought a brain 2 flybarless unit and the tail still wags put all new servos I’m not sure if it’s mechanical or something I’m doing wrong in the flybarless when I give it rudder it doesn’t respond right away and the active set up red light stays on ?😗

Have you taken the blades off and disconnected the tail servo to see if there is any binding? 99 times out of 100 there is binding somewhere in the tail mechanism. Slight tail wagging in a hover is pretty common on a brand new tail, it usually goes away after a few flights for me.

The light on the Brain just shows you what settings bank you are in.

Someone on this forum suggested polishing the tail rotor shaft where the pitch control slider sits using a paper towel. I did this for about 30-45 minutes (watch some TV). This plus the Brain2 helped get rid of most of my tail wag. As yakky mentioned, disconnect the tail push rod and remove the tail blades, the pitch control slider should slide down the tail rotor shaft from gravity with perhaps a slight nudge or jiggle of the tail. Also, make sure you don't over tighten the blade grips when assembling them onto the tail rotor hub, they should be secured but still rotate smooth.

Is the tail wag slow or is it fast? I think fast tail wag is usually due to the gains in the FBL and slow tail wag is usually due to something mechanically binding in the tail assembly.
