Default Missing Frame Rate and Type setting! SOLVED

Missing Frame Rate and Type setting!

I bought a used FC6250HX and update the firmware to 5.0, reset factory setting.
Install and go through the usual setup steps.

In FP, Setup->Swashplate->Output Setup... I do NOT get the usual menu but only Sub Trim!!

So, I can NOT set the Frame Rate, Swash type, etc.

However, even though I did NOT set the frame rate, the cyclic servos are working fine except incorrect direction of course.

What goes wrong here?

I set up several others before with no such issues.

What helicopter did it come out of? Was it a pull from a 330/360 or was it a retail box?

You might check to see if there's an update for the radio. I had something similar where going to the swash type selection I had a blank screen. Mine had an update available and after I could see what wasn't there before.

Thanks but the same TX (DX18G2) works fine with the other FC6250HX.

WIll try the update though.

EDIT-1: Updated from 2.07 to the current 2.08 but still doesn't work!!!

EDIT-2: Update the firmware on the FC6250HX again (same 5.5) and now it works.

Update the 4651T and then try it again. When you update the 6250, the 4651T is not updated at the same time.

Thanks but it's working now.

So I am not sure if I want to update the 4651T unless it has more benefit??

I don't know how much attention you paid to one of the busiest threads in the MSH Electronics Brain FBL section of the forum but it is very important to update the 4551T because of an error in how it handles a loss of signal and passes it along to the 6250 and other FBL controllers. Update it as the problem can be hidden and then one time you get into a position where the remote will get a false Hold and that will force the 6250 to restart the ESC. It is a long thread to read but it has been tested and the new firmware works as it should.

I read parts of those earlier but did NOT connect the dots.

Thanks for pointing this out and I will update the firmware right away.

Good find in deed.
