Default Scorpion 4530-540Kv motor shaft too long for the Raw

This motor is one of the Raw's recommended motors. Well I mounted it and the shaft is too long. The battery tray is blocked from sliding in. Is there a spacer to use, or some way to adjust (shorten) the shaft to make it fit?

Thanks,
Korrupshun

I had the same issue on the kraken, you’ve got to cut the shaft down.

Just cut the shaft down. Put the motor in a ziploc bag, and poke the shaft out through a corner. This is very important as to avoid getting metal shavings inside the motor. Just use a dremel cutoff wheel and take it slow, it really is no big deal at all. Ensure you mark the shaft before cutting to allow enough to engage all of the pinion support bearing and you'll be good to go.

Either cut the current shaft shorter or replace the shaft with an appropriate length shaft.

Cutting a motor shaft is almost a normal thing if you're looking for perfect fitment. Bag the motor, tape the line, cut slow, sand it smooth. W-alla
