Default strange or normal rpm changes

hey guys Im trying to find out if this is normal or not.

I have neo/vlink/vbc/original, its connectted to a cc160hv ice2 with hobbywing rpm sensor, this test setup was done on the bench, the headspeeds are set for each bank.

So is it normal for the rpm to raise higher than the set headspeed rpm till it settles down to the set rpm? ie bank 1 set to 1300, motors will rpm go up to around 1550 and it will settle down to 1300, same goes with the other two banks..

I just got a new rpm sensor thinking it was wacky, but it did basically the same scenario.

normal or a setting is off?

Also look at collective add. In conjunction with basic throttle together form the v curve for a non governor setup but apparently can affect spool up.

If you are testing on the bench it will show rpm fluctuations IF you move the collective stick. If you only experience the overshoot after start up it is again normal as there are no load on the system.

I always wonder why for some it happens but on the ESCs I have used they always went to the set head speed with no fluctuation.
