Default ix12 strange phenomenon

hello guys
asks a question on behalf of my friend,
he bougth the ix12 remote about half a year ago and
it keeps making trouble.
flight mode changes every few flights without that he changing.
all 3 modes normal, idle1,idle2, give a result of 100% rpm
it forces him to reprogram a model every time .
has anyone encountered this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help

Initially I thought you were chuckling at the general question. The iX12 is known to have a few "issues". I don't own one myself so I have no opinion of the radio nor can I answer the OP's original question. Possibly the answer can be found somewhere here -> https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...-iX12/page1087 There's over a 1,000 pages in that thread so using the search function will likely be required.

Quite right and absolutely no offence was intended - it was very funny though and I very nearly spilt my early morning coffee imagining the general reaction

Although I am quite a fan of Spektrum products, I have avoided the iX12 like the plague.

Your friend should start by connecting the WiFi, registering the transmitter with Spektrum, and installing the latest software update.

While trying to use this radio the RCGroups thread wjvail linked will be his/her best friend. The Spektrum devs monitor that thread and will help out if they can.

I've been using an ix12 all summer and my experience has been mostly good.

No man. Your English is fine. You just need a thick skin around here. If people have a chuckle at your expense it means they like you. It's when they ignore you you have a problem.

It sounds like he is incorrectly programming the Flight Mode setup. Each flight mode should have its own Pitch and Throttle curve. The switch should be selected that puts them in the right mode. If you take the average setup, that would have a Flight Mode for Hold, Normal, Idle 1 and Idle 2. Each mode will have a pitch curve and throttle curve for each but sometimes for simplicity, I have Hold and Idle 2 share the same pitch curves. I am not exactly sure if this is what it messing up but it sounds like it could be. Hope it helps or is able to point us in the right direction to help. Take care.

If I understood you correctly then I did what you described,
I'll upload a screenshot of a flight mode that on the transmitter you might notice something is wrong.

I have no idea what is happening.
I waited at least a year after spektrum released the ix12 to get mine so they could work the bugs out first.

Only thing I could recommend is making sure the transmitter is updated to the current version.
