I think if you disconnect the GPS it reverts to blue light manual mode. This is a very sophisticated flight controller unlike the others on the market. It's more like fly by wire in operation.Looking for a second hand Naza-H is your best option.I have one of those as well and i prefer it to the Flywing h1.You don't have to use the GPS with the Naza-h.

Occasionally the come up on E.bay,i bought mine second hand and it's still good and reliable 5 years later. It's a pity DJI abandoned helicopters for Drones only.If you do get one it will work without a GPS unit and you get 6 axis stabilization with a barometric sensor for height control and they're easy to set up.

I still have 4 helis equipped with Naza H +GPS, the rest are with H1 installed. I used to fly Naza H without GPS for awhile and saw a friend flew with GPS and tried it myself. I liked it and felt more relaxed flying so I went ahead and bought GPS dishes to add to the existing setup. I don't see any disadvantage flying with GPS mode engaged as opposed to the non-GPS configuration. In my opinion, the H1+GPS flies even better than Naza H+GPS as it more accurate and quicker in locking in position and has more auto features. Just my opinion.

The H1 will cost you considerably less than a second hand Naza-h as well.I'd go for the H1.

For Naza H, take-off and landing must be done on manual mode whereas one can be in autopilot mode throughout the entire flight for H1 i.e. from lift-off to landing, very convenient.

That's where the H1 wins hands down.I suppose the DJI Naza-h could have have done
that as well if more software downloads had been made available instead of abandoning the unit.Shame on DJI.

Technology in naza h is 10 more years far lag behind H1. I never play naza h and i presume that H1 is more stable.
