Default Spirit RS vs Spirit GTR

Hi,

Looking for a new radio system, leaning towards Jeti. I found the Spirit website and saw there combined FBL and Receiver units that look very interesting.

What's the difference between the RS and GTR - is it worth spending the extra for the GTR?

Cheers,

Nigel

Both have a built in Jeti RX.

The main difference is that the RS is based off the older Spirit 2 and the GTR is based of the newer GT.

The GT & GTR are a significant step forward in the hardware. There is onboard memory for logging, the CPU is much more powerful (think new features are possible) and the gyro is updated. It also adds a pressure sensor for altitude.

My opinion is that the GT/GTR are more future proof.

+1 on this one. you will most probably not feel a huge difference (if any) when flying them both side by side (at least i am not able to) in the moment. but the GTR is able of logging of all internal sensors/accelerometers/etc etc etc and has a pressure sensor for auto-rescue. and - only a guess - there will be maybe some other cool features coming on this new hardware platform. plus 4 swash servos or just one additional power connector. plus easier cabling with external RXs for the GT.

Ciao
Michael

nb: i will not switch any of my Spirit RSs to GTR in the moment. no reason for me... it's flying flawless, but new builds will be clearly on the GTR.

GT/GTR recommended here too. Future capabilities does it for me. Who knows what's new in the minds of the developers?
