why do they make rebranded Hobbywing esc's for Futaba if it will need an external device ?

why doesn't the HW ESC talk directly to the radio or why can't the ESC be adjusted over the air without a program box ?

Just be aware the HW 60 has no current shunt and therefore cannot provide any mAh consumed as this is a factor of current over time. The capacity is what most people want with telemetry, but you must have the HW 80 or higher in order to get that capability.

One reason that I went ahead with the E-Fuel Gauge for my HW60V4.

I found on HW Facebook has Y cable for the fan.

I use the E fuel, works great.

If you are not using FASSTest or TFHSS receiver you cannot get any telemetry. Those are the 2 Futaba protocols that enable telemetry.
